The Labour Party has called on the prime minister Rishi Sunak to personally “get around the table” and negotiate with junior doctors in an effort to resolve the current wave of strike action.The latest 72 hour walkout by junior doctors over their pay and conditions began at 7 am on 14 June and will end at 7 am on 17 June.In a keynote speech to the NHS ConfedExpo conference in Manchester on 14 June, Labour’s shadow health secretary Wes Streeting said the government could not continue its “disastrous approach” of refusing to negotiate with junior doctors.“Rishi Sunak’s approach has failed.
