Record breaking floods hit Brazil

In some cities water levels were at their highest since recordkeeping began almost 150 years ago, the Brazilian Geological Service reported.By Sunday 5 May, 66 people had died in the floods, 80 000 were displaced, and more than a million people lacked access to drinking water, reported the country’s civil defence agency.
