Systolic blood pressure and endovascular treatment of strokeBlood pressure at the time of hospital admission influences outcomes after stroke, according to an analysis of individual patient data from seven trials of endovascular thrombectomy. Patients with a systolic blood pressure of more than 140 mm Hg showed poorer functional recovery. However, blood pressure didn’t predict whether endovascular intervention would be successful.
