A Labour government would double the number of medical school places in the UK, the party’s shadow chancellor has pledged.In a speech1 to the party’s annual conference in Liverpool, Rachel Reeves announced that Labour would implement “the biggest expansion of medical school places in British history” by increasing the number from 7500 to 15 000.
