STAT+: Pharmalittle: Moderna’s Covid-19 vaccine rolls out across the U.S.; FDA rejects Novartis cholesterol drug

Perhaps you’ve got a few days off on the horizon, or maybe you’re working straight through the shortened days of December. Moderna’s (MRNA) Covid-19 vaccine got authorization from the Food and Drug Administration for emergency use, a week after a vaccine from Pfizer (PFE) and BioNTech (BNTX) received the same designation, STAT tells us. The vaccine is now rolling out across the U.S., and Moderna expects to ship about 20 million doses before the end of the year, enough to vaccinate 10 million people.
