Study: Opioid Scripts Too Strong, Risk Addiction
University of Pennsylvania researchers looked at nearly 100,000 patients nationwide who had knee surgery between 2015 and 2019. The common denominator: the average prescription strength was too high, which put patients at risk for an overdose.
