STAT Plus: U.S. authorities expected to file charges against Teva in generic price fixing probe

Federal prosecutors reportedly plan to charge Teva Pharmaceuticals (TEVA) of conspiring with other manufacturers of fixing prices for generic drugs, the fifth drug maker to be accused as part of a long-running government probe.

The move comes after Teva, which is one of the world’s biggest purveyors of copycat medicines, last May withdrew from negotiations with the Department of Justice.
