29 Weeks Pregnant

As your bump grows, you will be utilising your maternity wardrobe more and more. Your partner now has a good chance of feeling your baby kick, which is a fantastic bonding experience. So sit on the couch together, relax and see if it encourages your little one to move.

29 Weeks PregnantHow is your baby growing when 29 Weeks Pregnant?

Your baby is now about 26 cm long and weighs approximately 1.15kg. Most of their organs now function well, and fat continues to be laid down under the baby’s skin over the next few weeks. Also, your baby has started to produce red blood cells in their bone marrow, and they are practising their breathing for when they are born.

What You May Feel

As you approach the end of pregnancy, you will slow down. You will find it harder to stay active, but exercise is still essential. If exertion makes you feel breathless, try changing the activity to something a little less strenuous. For example, many women love swimming through to the end of their pregnancy, as it supports your body and offers a feeling of weightlessness. Contact your local aquatic centre and ask if they offer maternity classes, or pop down for a swim when you can.
