Cardozo was a passionate advocate of women’s health who spent 44 years at King’s College Hospital, London; she hoped the award would send out a strong message about the fundamental importance of “the quality of life of women.”Elegant and eloquent, she told the Jewish Chronicle: “So often in medicine, exposure is given to high profile specialties dealing with life threatening diseases and emotive issues.
