The latest four day walkout by junior doctors in England began on Friday 11 August as the dispute between the BMA and the government over pay entered its fifth round of strike action this year.The BMA said that thousands of new doctors straight out of medical school will be attending pickets, despite joining the NHS only last week. Included among those starting their first placement in the NHS was Raymond Effah, who said, “When I chose medicine as my career, never did I imagine my second week in the job would see me going on strike.
