It was here that he was born, brought up, educated, worked, raised his family, and, after a long life well lived, died.He was a pillar of the local community, serving the patients of Broomhill, Partick, and Jordanhill for 30 years. As an infant he was baptised in the Broomhill Church of Scotland, where he worshipped all his life. He enjoyed his time in the Boys Brigade and later became an elder. As an elder he served on the fabric committee and became the roll keeper. As the longest member on the roll he was regarded as “the father of the church.”His time in Broomhill was interrupted by national service. Angus was posted to Hong Kong where he was a radio operator, completing his service at the time of the Korean War. On returning home he studied medicine at Glasgow University. Through the…
