Flora Dale

She trained at the Royal Infirmary Edinburgh; and also at Waterloo Hospital in London and Strong Memorial Hospital, New York State, USA. Flora had a long and successful career in general practice in Roehampton and East Sheen, London. She became a partner and was an esteemed trainer in her practice for many years. Flora loved her profession; even after she had retired to her family’s roots in East Lothian she continued to keep current with new developments in medicine. Flora’s efficiency was legendary, her memory phenomenal, and her exceptional diagnostic skills, especially in dermatology, were widely recognised and admired. She married Ralph Ross Russell (a fellow doctor) in 1957. They had five children, 17 grandchildren, and 10 great grandchildren.
