Jennifer Ann Salisbury
bmj;384/feb23_5/q465/FAF1faJennifer Salisbury was born in Barnsley, south Yorkshire, and studied medicine at Newnham College, Cambridge, and St Thomas’ Hospital, London. In 1970 Jennifer moved to Hornchurch in east London to take on a role in general practice. She developed a strong interest in dermatology, and in 1980 she took the decision to return to hospital medicine as a registrar, while bringing up her three boys. Jennifer took on the additional role of clinical tutor at the Royal London from 1987, and in 1990 she was appointed consultant dermatologist at Whipps Cross Hospital and the Royal London. She became a fellow of the Royal College of Physicians in 1998 and, after retiring in 2005, she continued in private practice.
