Imagine if doctors advised their patients to stop smoking but didn’t tell them why.People will see that their fizzy drinks cost more and that it takes longer to get to a fast food outlet—but will they know where to turn to make healthier food choices? We know more about healthy eating than we ever have—it’s astonishing that we understand so much and yet pass so little on to the general population. It almost seems as if the more we learn, the less healthy the population becomes.Even children in the most deprived areas go to school—why not include those with scientific knowledge about healthy lifestyles in the teams developing school curriculums?
