Revolving door: You are free to influence us “behind the scenes,” FDA tells staff leaving for industry ȷobs

This feature article (BMJ 2024;386:q1418, 1 July 2024, doi:10.1136/bmj.q1418) described two bills recently introduced in the US Congress that seek to amend the law regulating post-employment activities of health agency employees. The article mistakenly described the two bills as different, when in fact they are identical bills, both referred to as the “FAUCI Act,” with one introduced in the Senate and the other in the House of Representatives. The article also inaccurately described one bill as proposing a permanent ban on future board membership, when in fact the ban would be limited to eight years. The online version of the article has been amended to accurately describe the bills.
