Johns Hopkins is latest US medical school to offer free tuition
Most medical students at Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore will now receive free tuition, and many will receive financial support for living expenses, thanks to a $1bn donation from the politician and philanthropist Michael Bloomberg.1Bloomberg, who received his undergraduate degree in engineering from Johns Hopkins, cofounded the financial data services firm Bloomberg LP, and served three terms as mayor of New York City.
