Chancellor Jeremy Hunt has pledged almost £6bn in new funding for the NHS in his spring budget.1The NHS in England will receive a £2.5bn funding boost for 2024-25 to support it to improve performance and reduce waiting times. An additional £3.4bn in capital funding is being made available to help modernise antiquated NHS IT systems.
