Rosemary Doddington

After hospital jobs in Barnstaple, Weymouth, and Harold Wood, Essex, she did her GP training in Torrington. She also trained in family planning before joining a practice in South Molton, north Devon, in 1979.Rosemary was the most kindly, caring GP that anyone could wish for. Her surgeries always ran very late, but her patients didn’t mind because they knew they would get her full attention when their time came. Whenever one walked past her surgery late in the evening, there was always one light on. She was also a supportive and conscientious trainer and heavily involved in the vocational training scheme for north Devon. She was a highly dependable partner and colleague.
