Ways to enhance nature prescribing
Garside and colleagues’ editorial discusses the benefits and challenges of nature prescribing, emphasising the importance of nature based activities for improving health and wellbeing.1Jepson and colleagues,2 as well as Bragg and Leck,3 outline activities that can be considered as part of a green prescription. These include therapeutic horticulture; biodiversity conservation; care farming, which involves using farming practices for health, social interaction, and education; green exercise, such as nature walks, biking, and climbing; wilderness arts and crafts; and community gardening.To enhance green social prescribing there are many strategies that can be implemented.
