Industrial actionJunior doctors will be re-balloted on strikesThe BMA’s Junior Doctors Committee for England will re-ballot its members over another six months of industrial action. For the first time junior doctors will also be asked to approve “action short of a strike” as part of the mandate for action, such as working to rule or not working overtime. The committee’s current mandate for action expires at the end of February. If doctors vote yes in the ballot, which will run from 7 February to 20 March, the mandate for strike action in England will extend until September 2024.
