Health leaders lament omission of Mental Health Act reform from King’s speech

Healthcare and charity leaders have welcomed confirmation in the King’s speech of plans to restrict smoking but expressed disappointment that it did not announce reform of the Mental Health Act.King Charles announced the introduction of the Tobacco and Vapes Bill during his speech at the state opening of parliament on 7 November.
