Doctors should have a guaranteed seat at the table when it comes to designing and implementing technology solutions in healthcare, experts have told MPs.Technology experts appearing before MPs on the parliamentary Health and Social Care Committee argued that all NHS organisations should be required to create digital clinical teams.Speaking during an evidence session on 15 November for the committee’s inquiry into digital transformation of the NHS, James Morris, Conservative MP for Halesowen and Rowley Regis, asked, “Best practice would suggest that the way to get adoption [of digitalisation] is to involve clinicians very early in the design process, so that they own it.
