It’s July, the schools have broken up, and the traffic jams to the coast intensify. While many people’s thoughts turn to making the most of the summer, some of us are thinking about the autumn ahead and, specifically, about gearing up for the annual flu vaccination season.This September we’ll be asked to give covid-19 boosters too. Ideally, both vaccines would be given at the same appointment, saving time for patients and staff, but it looks as though we’ll need to start the boosters a few weeks before the flu jabs arrive in our fridges.
