U.S. Trade Representative Katherine Tai on Thursday again got an earful from lawmakers opposed to the Biden administration’s call to waive intellectual property protection on Covid-19 vaccines, Law360 reports. Tai, who testified before the House Ways and Means Committee, was pressed for details about what the U.S. would seek in negotiations over the waiver, how long it would last, how it would be implemented, and whether the U.S. would walk away if other countries insisted that it apply to more than just vaccines.
