When the first wave of Covid-19 hit the U.S., America failed to protect older people living in long-term care facilities. Although only 0.5% of Americans live in nursing homes, nursing home residents accounted for a quarter of deaths from the pandemic. We’ll gather experts from across the country to discuss how our society can introduce better policies and technologies to safeguard vulnerable people from Covid-19 and other disease outbreaks.
