SAS doctors in England set to vote on new pay deal

Specialist, associate specialist, and specialty (SAS) doctors in England have been offered a new pay deal which would see those on 2021 contracts receive an increase of 9.5% of 19.4% and those on older contracts secure a consolidated uplift of £1400 on top of the 6% increase recommended by the pay review body.The BMA is recommending that members accept the offer, which also includes proposals to improve career progression and a commitment to improve terms and conditions for locally employed doctors (LEDs).
