He took his A levels at Cardiff Technical College.Roger had a long and illustrious medical career—by the age of 83 he had achieved the remarkable accomplishment of working in clinical medicine for 59 years, and as a consultant physician for 50 years. He had hoped to achieve 60 years of full time clinical work.He started his medical career in October 1957 at the age of 19 as a student at Charing Cross Hospital Medical School.
