The U.S. wants Switzerland to extradite Chinese researcher Gongda Xue, who is accused of helping his scientist sister steal secrets worth $550 million from GlaxoSmithKline (GSK), Reuters reports. Gongda Xue, who is fighting extradition, has been labeled a potential flight risk, according to a Swiss Federal Criminal Court verdict, keeping him in custody pending the resolution of the extradition request. Last year, his sister, the Chinese-American scientist Yu Xue, pleaded guilty to pilfering secrets from Glaxo, where she worked until 2016.
