Massachusetts General is Top U.S. Hospital for Psychiatry

Massachusetts General Hospital (MGH) has been named America’s #1 hospital in psychiatry in the most recent U.S. News & World Report’s review of the nation’s hospitals. MGH was named to the Honor Roll in the magazine’s list of “America’s Best Hospitals 2016 – 2017,” which is based on an in-depth survey of nearly 5,000 hospitals around the country. MGH was also ranked the #1 hospital in the Eastern United States, and #3 overall in the United States for 2016-2017. MGH is the only hospital in the country to receive top marks in all 16 specialty areas reviewed. The original and largest teaching hospital of Harvard Medical School, MGH conducts the most extensive hospital-based research program in the United States. It has been listed among the top three hospitals in the country every year since 2010 and for 18 of the last 25 years.
